Swinney is the ultimate insider with access to people from all over entertainment. It’s great being a fly on the wall cuz he keeps the convo rolling and asks interesting questions. Excellent stuff esp if you like punk, alt, rock —- basically anything w guitars
Chris Swinney is pro. Great musician, pro podcaster, & top-notch guests within the music industry. Outstanding host - keep up the great work, Chris!
Truly awesome podcast. My favorite was hearing Travis from Coheed talk about Foo Fighters. Cool to think someone I am a fan of is a fan of someone else...
I love this show, the intros are awesome, good music played to roll us in, some good info, and things different from the normal podcast intros. The guests are rad, good interviews, good stories, and good insight. Can’t really ask for much more. Stoked about this show, and the big archive of episodes to roll through.
If you like punk rock or even music in general, you will love That One Time On Tour. Chris interviews some of the biggest names in music. If you love hearing about what it's like behind the scenes when touring, this is the podcast for you. I'd give it ten starts if I could. Definitely check this out!
Love hearing from members of my favorite Fat Wreck bands and many others! Good stuff!
Yes , this podcast covers more than punk rock but covers mostly punk rock and is a pretty great podcast. The host, Chris Swinney is a good dude, knows his stuff, does his research and has incredible guests. You know what you’re going to get every episode, a great interview done professionally and it’s always a great conversation! Can’t wait to hear more in the future!
Recently started listening and I love the interviews and questions ask to the guest. Some great content.
Found this thanks to a mention in the Punk Rock Dads Facebook group. Loving what I’m hearing.
Really dig the pod dude! Love the different guests you’ve had. One suggestion, Richard and Stefanie Reines. So many people grew up and got started in punk because of drive-thru. I’ve only really heard about what happened to the label through the various bands eyes. Would love to hear their story
I just discovered Christopher Swinney’s podcast and am glad I did. He is a great interviewer with a very conversational style. It’s awesome to be able to hear people from the bands I love talk about their love of music and playing as well as life in general. I’ve listened to several podcasts so far and plan to listen to may more on my commute to work. Great work! Keep ‘em coming!
Really great conversations with great people. Chuck a listen at it and you’ll be happy you did.
So great. Actual conversations with the artists from the artists point of view. Love it. Keep it up.
What an amazing podcast! Everyone that he has done is awesome, his guest are killer musicians and they have great stories.
I always enjoy listening to stories of the road and the lives led after you leave that life behind.
You can tell Chris has a love and appreciation for all things music. It’s nice getting an organic and authentic conversation behind some of the bands and songs out there. Well worth a listen!
I’ve been enjoying listening to the conversations with members of bands I have loved for years! So fun!
Chris is a great Host and has the best guests! Best pod ever! Never miss an episode!
A friend of mine recently informed me that I can now rate and review podcasts directly from my phone. So now, while sitting in a work meeting, I can finally do what I’ve been meaning to do for a while. This is a great podcast and Chris is able to interview in such a natural way that it remains interesting and unforced and the episodes are entertaining and informative even if I started off not knowing much or anything about the interviewee. There is such an array of artists involved that anybody should be able to find a good episode to start with. I suggest beginning with Chris Conley. That’s how I found this show. I highly recommend this podcast.
Anyone who’s spent time on the road playing gigs and touring in a band, this podcast is for you. Great interviews and guests!
Just found this podcast and it’s literally what I’ve been looking for for years! Keep it coming! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It’s well produced, great guests, great conversations, great host. I used to skip ahead but I really enjoy hearing the smaller bands songs at the beginning, and I really like that the host posted a song he was working on and wanted feed back. Thought that was really cool of him to put his music out there like that, and I hope he does it again. The only critique I have is the same I have of all podcasts: the housekeeping / Patreon promotion portion could be quicker. Overall this is an excellent podcast.
Great podcast with awesome guests. One of the best parts is that Chris knows how to mix, so it is great audio quality as well! Love it! Must subscribe!
So many great guests, questions right on point! Get John K Samson, Bryan Kienlan
What a rad podcast!! I discovered this podcast about 2 weeks ago & have been binging ever since!! Chris is a great host & his guest selection is awesome. If you are fan of punk, metal, hardcore, emo, metalcore etc you will enjoy it. Highly recommend!! If you’re bored at work or just sitting on the couch bored, close Pornhub and give it a listen!!
Great podcast. Love listening to cool stories from my favorite artists. Gets me through a day at work!
Interesting conversation with cool people. Plus I appreciate Chis giving exposure to some underground bands. Nice job Chris 🤘
Thoroughly enjoy Chris's point of view as an interviewer being a former touring musician, sheds light to all the hard work put into the music scene that some perceive as "the lime light" of being on an active/touring band.
Love this podcast! Cool interviews with cool artists. More like a fun conversation. Check this one out if you dig rock n roll.
Can’t get enough of this podcast... best interviews of guests from current legends of the independent diy music scene.... I’m a huge fan of the 80’s, 90’s punk and metal scene.... real conversations that get into the butt sweat and tears of interesting personalities people living their lives in the music industry...
A lot of shows out there recycle the same guests or have guests that I’m not necessarily interested in. TOTOT has all the best guests and the host is very interesting. My favorite podcast.
Just recently found this podcast, but can’t stop listening! Great peek behind the curtain with a lot of bands that I love.
Listened to an episode with Grant Emerson of Delta Rae. The conversation between two talented musicians is always interesting and insightful. Will be checking out some more episodes.
This podcast is awesome. Chris is a fantastic host and really makes you feel at ease and keeps things flowing effortlessly which is great for a guest like me who just blabbers on and on if you let me. 😁 support this podcast and this rad dude! Five stars, would cast again. -Trev Reilly A Wilhelm Scream
This podcast is down to earth real and all out good. Listened for the first time yesterday and I’ve downloaded multiple already and I think I might be getting addicted. Love the show!
Hearing stories from the road directly from the mouths of some of my favorite musicians is awesome. Chris has great chemistry with the guests and makes you feel like you are part of the conversation. Great Podcast, can’t wait for more!
That one time on tour is one of the rare podcast that I look forward to listening to every week when it comes out. The host is charismatic. Chris really gets his guests to open up. One of hethe main things that I love about this podcast is he doesn't always have guests that are musicians some are managers , TV celebs, and really anyone who contributes to music in general. But by far the most amazing aspect of this podcast is he lets unsigned bands or signed bands be a part of the show by sponsoring an episode. Please keep cranking out episodes and and I'll keep listening every Wednesday and Tuesday. Thanks for all you do for music Kris Valkema/ Blackcat Manor. Freeport IL
If you grew up listening to Epitaph/Fat/Lookout style bands - this podcast is sure to please. Always stoked to hear the newest interview. Great job Chris - keep up the fantastic work.
Chris is a great interviewer and has had some great guests on. Really look forward to seeing where this podcast can go. Keep it up!
Music fans, Musicians, and anyone who likes good stories— this is your podcast. It is simply good easy listening conversation, with a lot of nostalgia and memories thrown in. Good job Chris. The guests are excited to share their stories, and you also get the bonus of hearing music at the beginning and end of the cast. Good stuff!
Great podcast! The episode with Scott from Zao is what caught my ear and since then I’ve been hooked!! Just down to earth talks about music and the artist. Highly recommended!! ✌️✌️
Not my favorite kind of music, but Chris brings out the human story with his guests that makes it universal, interesting and enjoyable. Anytime you get to hear musicians tell stories, it’s awesome. Lots of respect.
I’ve been listening to Chris’ podcast since the episode with Rick Thorne because I’m a huge BMX fan and I was instantly hooked. His knowledge and love of music (particularly punk) is abundant and makes for super great interviews every time as the guests are always very comfortable and offer such interesting stories. I’m always so bummed when it’s over! I’ve also discovered some great new bands because of this podcast. Keep up the good work and keep rocking Chris!
Let’s get back to where it all started for each listener. This is a great vessel of the past that rewards its listeners with never dull cast of Chris and company.
I highly recommend this podcast! The stories are incredible. Each episode has my attention throughout and I always go listen to the guests music or work after the episode. It’s a great way to be exposed to different artists.
If you want to feel like you’re hanging out, having a good time and getting to know the guests- this is the podcast for you! Plus added insights and behind the scenes of the music industry. Chris does an excellent job guiding the conversation as if you’re hanging out with old friends while digging in and getting to know them more!
About time we get a great music podcast. Love the one with Sam King From Get Dead!! Keep up the good work y’all 👊👊
I love this podcast. If you love music, this is for you. The candid conversations Chris has with his guests make you feel like you’re in the room with them. Super recommended.
The best part about this podcast is that Chris LISTENS to his guests. It’s not just question after question; it’s a conversation. Chris knows the people and the business of music, so his topics are insightful, unique and interesting. And because he offers discussion, his guests are comfortable and open with him. This is a must-listen if you enjoy hearing the inner workings of the music industry and the best rock bands in the biz.
Chris has the best guests! Love hearing about all the crazy stuff that happens on the road!
Just found out about this podcast less than a week ago and I’ve already listened to almost every one of them. I thought I already knew a decent amount about the bands represented in this podcast but Chris is able to go much deeper into their history and it’s awesome to hear all the connections these musicians have with other bands.
If you like anything to do with music and being on tour or just punk bands in general This podcast is for you. faithful listener since episode number eight. If you have a band or a business it’s one of the best ways to advertise.
I'm late to the podcast game, and I would actually say that I don't really listen to podcasts at all. Why? Because I'd rather be rocking out to some good music than sit and listen to someone talk for hours. But Chris is doing something differnet with That One Time On Tour. He gets guests from some great bands and fanboys out about all their touring and backstory. It's a way more in-depth interview of these artists than you'll ever see from a fan-zine style website. I'm going back and listening to the episodes where I don't even know the artist or the band and I'm still enjoying it. Thanks, Chris, keep it up!!!
TOTOT is a great pod cast that takes you on a journey with some amazing musicians in the punk rock scene from their times on tour. Chris does an great job with the guests and it always keeps you want to come back wanting more! Highly recommend it to anybody who loves in-depth looks and story’s of the road!
just came across this podcast last week, just listened to the Eddie Reyes episode tonight, good stuff!
Great podcast with entertaining & insightful interviews with lots of influential musicians.
Love the format of this podcast! Chris’s awesome connections lead him to some killer conversations with awesome people in the music scene, and I love hearing about new music and getting to know some of the behind the scenes from some of my favorite artists. Keep it up Chris! #totot
This is such a fun podcast! Can’t wait for the next episode! Keep up the good work!
We are currently listening to this podcast while on tour! Great stuff! Very transparent!
As a failed musician I love listening to that one time on tour podcast because I never got a chance to tour extensively. Chris is a great host that really seems passionate about music and the topics he talks about. One of my newest favorite podcasts. Easy listening for sure
Hey, this is Chris. I love doing this podcast, and it means the world to me that so many of you take time out of your busy lives to check it out. I will continue to attempt to put out great content...and hope that you will continue to listen. Thank you so much for the support!
Chris is such a good guy and the perfect one to host a podcast. Definitely worth your time.
I love hearing these stories from the people that lived it! Chris is a rad dude 4sure!
Incredible podcast with amazing stories and insight into the music biz. My new favorite! 🙏🙌✊
Loving this podcast! From the guests to the band sponsors that I’ve been discovering new music through. Hope chris is here to stay!

This is great! Not only is it entertaining, Chris is genuinely an incredible person!! Thank you for taking the time out of your life to share. I know that’s no easy feat with two little ones! Thanks to Chris’s wife for sharing Chris’s time with us!
This is such a fun podcast to listen to! Its awesome hearing these memories of tour and a couple band dudes catching up! I appreciate the art! Keep it up man!
I’ve always loved hearing Chris’ stories of the bands he’s played in and touring the country. This is a wonderful way to delve into the world of touring with a band.
I honestly think this is great, being a bass player myself! Joel and Chris are both awesome! Can’t wait for more!
This podcast is definitely the best ive heard in a long time, and the fact that the interviewer is the ex guitarist of the ataris makes it that much better being a fan of the ataris myself.
Chris Swinney brings a gentle cool to this cast as host. He’s been there, done that, and he’s glad to chat about it without pretension. If you like hearing real working musicians talk about life on the road, then you are in for a treat!
I’ve always been intrigued by stories from the road, from major tours (or on my case) to jumping in the civic and going across country. It’ll be nice to hear about the same struggles and successes that so many have been through and hoped for. Especially since this first episode comes through in such a conversational manner... it feels like you’re being talked to, not talked at. Can’t wait for episode two!
