Carnifex is an American deathcore band from San Diego, California. Formed in 2005, they are currently signed to Nuclear Blast Records, and just released their 8th full-length studio album, "Graveside Confessions". You can find Carnifex currently on tour with The Black Dahlia Murder and on their headlining tour in October.

We link up with Matty Mullins of the metalcore band Memphis May Fire for a second time on the podcast. Matty was first appeared on Ep #005 in April 2019, making Matty our first official repeat guest! MMF recently released two brand new singles off their upcoming album, which could be released at any time. Furnace Fest originally ran in the early 2000s as a collection of punk, hardcore, metal, metalcore, and emo-type bands at the Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, AL. If you have seen one of the festival's DVDs, then you know exactly what Furnace Fest is. If you don't we strongly suggest you look it up. Chad Johnson was a driving force in putting on such an event. From moving to Birmingham, booking local shows, working A&R at Tooth & Nail, to reviving one of the most iconic early hardcore/metalcore festivals after 17 years, Chad has done and seen a lot in the music scene. Furnace Fest is scheduled to commence September 24-26, 2021 right back at the Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, AL.

Of Mice & Men (OM&M) is a metalcore/rock band from Costa Mesa, California. Founded in 2009 the band has seen insane success with chart-topping album releases and touring with some of rock's biggest drawing bands. Aaron Pauley is the band's bass player who handled clean vocal duties until the second departure of their lead vocalist, Austin Carlile, in late 2016. Since then Aaron has moved toward handling the band's clean and unclean vocals. On top of that Aaron handles recording duties for the group. OM&M recently left Rise Records and is currently on the Sharptone Records roster where earlier this year they released 2 separate EP's with the possibility of more new music due out later this year.

Love Is Red was a melodic hardcore band that originated in Florence Alabama in the year 2000 and eventually called Nashville Tennessee home for the rest of its existence. The band did extensive U.S. touring throughout the U.S. after signing to Jamey Jasta's Stillborn Records until 2005 when the group disbanded. In 2021, Love Is Red has currently re-united for a few reunion shows (including Furnace Fest 2021) and released a new EP titled, "Darkness Is Waiting". This is the first release from the band in over 17 years.

You may Ricky Hoover from his time as the vocalist in the Deathcore band, Suffokate. Ricky spent 2008-2012 with that group, after parting ways Ricky explored the world of hair becoming a barber and opening his own barbershop. However, after a while, the itch to be in a band again became too much and he started his new project Ov Sulfur. The band just released their debut EP, "Oblivion", which features Tim Lambesis (of AILD) on a track. You can catch Ricky and Ov Sulfur on tour with Carnifex this fall.

Wristmeetrazor is an American metalcore band that originally started as a solo project in Washington, D.C., United States, in 2017. Members are now located in Louisville, KY, Las Vegas, NV, Springfield, VA, and Newark, DE. Recruited shortly after formation, Justin (Ex-Molotov Solution) is now the frontman of the band. He has also moonlighted as the band's bassist as well. The band just released their second LP "Replica Of A Strange Love" last month.

Mike has been the frontman of the Dayton, Ohio metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada since its inception in 2005. The group has released 7 studio full-lengths, most recently The Act. Of those 7 albums, 6 of them have been charted on Billboard as high as 10th. In May of 2021, the group released a follow-up EP to their 2010 Zombie EP, titled ZII, which sees the band go back to their heavier roots. Mike not only fronts TDWP, but he also dabbles as a writer, entrepreneur, avid hockey fan/player, and much much more which we get into on the show.

Doug fronted The Sleeping (which included ex-members of the mid-90s metalcore band SkyCameFalling) from 2003-2012, with a few reunion show here and there. Doug also joined Night Verses for a few years after The Sleeping took a break. You may remember Travis Ritcher from his time playing guitar is From First To Last alongside Sonny aka Skrillex, playing in the grindcore band The Color Of Violence, or his time as the vocalist in The Human Abstract. Travis met Soundcloud emo artists/producers: Lil Lotus, Zuban, and more through his music venue in LA and the group have since been writing their own version of emocore-inspired metalcore. The band released a split ep with SeeYouSpaceCowboy earlier this year through Pure Noise Records.

Frank is currently playing guitar in the scene staple, Hatebreed. Frank has put many years into hardcore and music having played in such bands as Ringworm and Terror to name just a few before he was invited into Hatebreed in 2006. Hatebreed released their 8th studio album, "Weight Of False Self", in late 2020 through Nuclear Blast. Frank's other passions include the Tampa Bay Rays, hot sauce, and hanging at Disney theme parks.

Kyle Medina (vocals) and Chris Whited (drums) are part of the south Florida deathcore/metalcore band Bodysnatcher. The band really started to gain some notoriety last year after releasing their 2nd full-length, "This Heavy Void" (Stay Sick Records), however, since then the band has signed with EOne. Most recently the band released a cover of Hatebreed's "Smash Your Enemies" that even got Jamey Jasta's approval.
