Vocalist Olav "Ravn" Bergene and bassist Tor Risdal Stavenes both play in 1349. 1349 is a Norwegian black metal band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1997. The band's name is a reference to the year the Black Death reached Norway. In this episode, we discuss the release of their new album "The Infernal Pathway", working with the Norwegian government and Edvard Munch, history of black metal in Norway, why they wear corpsepaint, and more.
