2020 was such a disaster if a year but we were blessed with some monumental extreme music releases. So I decided to yet again do a year end wrap up episode with Oli Pinard the bassist of Cattle Decapitation, Cryptopsy, Akurion & Vengeful.
Throughout this chat Oli was drinking drinking Kahnawake Brewing Co.'s "Crisptopsy - Pilsner Supremacy" the New World Pilsner. This Pilsner brewed with Bohemian Yeast was Double Dry Hopped with Mosaic hops & was brewed in honor of Cryptopsy. It had mad melon vibes & finished with a crisp cereal finish. OverHop Canada's "VOX&OVERHOPS" the DDH NEIPA that was Hopped with Citra, Vic Secret & Enigma Hops. it was super juicy with a tropical nose & a dank finish. It clocked in with a 7% ABV. As well as the Brasserie Hopfenstark x Voivod collab "Lost Machine"!! This SteinBier which is a traditional German style brew which is made by heating up rocks in a fire that are later placed in the wort was fantastic! Thanks to that unique process it has a more caramel & mineral flavor profile while remaining a crisp & crushable brew! It clocks in with a 5% ABV.

Matt was drinking 5e Baron's "Black" a Schwarzbier brewed with a combination of 7 different German malts which was pure cereal bliss, ultra crushable & simply delicious. It clocked in with a 5% ABV. As well as Microbrasserie Le Fermentor's "Bon Scotch"! This Wee Heavy Scotch Ale poured out with beautiful amber veil, radiated boozy sweetness on the nose, has delicious caramel bite & was absolutely stunning!!! It clocked in with a 9% ABV.
